FX Pocket Chrono v2 with my FX Impact M4 Extended (800mm barrel)

Hello all,

I had my chrono mounted on my barrel but took it of because it can impact the POI. I am also afraid that it might datagebruik the barrel, like bending it a tiny bit. That would be very bad because. What is your opinion on the possibilities in regards to bending or damaging the barrel?

I have now mounted it on the right rail of my M4, according to the manual of the chrono.

Does anyone have good experience with this setup?

I will test it and update this post asap.

It won't bend your barrel permanently, don't zero with the chrono on the barrel, especially on an 800. The only good data you will get is velocity and even that might be off slightly thanks to barrel droop. My 700 is bad enough and I've done everything to stiffen it apart from epoxying the liner to the carbon tube and the carbon tensioner to the barrel tube.

I just set the chrono on the bench, and ive used it sitting on an scba valve even. It's a radar, it doesn't have to be on the gun. This way I can zero and chrono at the same time to collect as much data for my effort as possible. Sure mines a v1 but that doesn't effect the scenario. As long as your lane isn't too cluttered it does just fine.

Good luck with the 800, depending on your standards it will present you with some challenges to overcome and some power and efficiency that others don't have.
