FX pellets vs JSB pellets

I noticed that the 18.13gr .22cal FX pellets are available from the supplier I go to and the equivalent JSB is not. I'm guessing they're pretty much identical (other than the specific dies), but for those of you who have shot both, did you notice a difference?

In the past I have shot them both through my brocock sniper. I could tell no difference in performance.

Might be a tiny variance in head or skirt size, but I have never felt the need to measure. Both perform identically.

In my .25 Crown the ballistics are identical for FX and JSB pellets of the same weight. Both the 25.4 grain and the 34 grain pellets shoot to the same spot between 10 yards and 60 yards

I cannot say anything about FX pellets but I have a word about JSB's alone.

I was always buying JSB MK2's in packs of 5 tins, and this how I got a chance shooting some leftovers from last year (2020) following up with a new batch (same MK2's) from this year (2021).

This how I discovered the differences in mk2's 2020 vs 2021, the new batch skirts were not the same according my pellet gauge, also I could see a difference in POI, one mag with old and right next mag with new. So mixing up even the mags with a same tune was no bueno.

I am talking about shooting 100 meters BR. Maybe with shorter distances the contrast was less noticeable. Also along the year some others observations started surfacing as well.

They are basically the same in my rifles. Only differences I’ve seen are probably just lot differences. Just broke out some FX pellets today to confirm, and they shot the same as the JSBs I shot yesterday.
