FX FX Panthera will shoot at close ranges, too.

Kind of a crappy day in Indiana today so I used the time to continue my maintenance checks on various rifles.

I got to the Panthera and thought “kind of overkill at 18 yards” but decided what the heck.

If my math is correct a minute of angle at 18 yards is .18”. It performs as well close as it does at the longer ranges.

Fun stuff on a miserable day. Sure thankful for the indoor range.

Those are some AWESOME groups; even if they are only 18 yards. I have a Panthera arriving today. Hope it shoots like yours.

I just got a Hunter Compact in .25 and sighted it in at 25 yards using FX 34gr pellets and it puts them hole in hole! I've got my hold overs down to 10 yards and can't be happier. Occasionally a squirrel will get stupid close!

This is purely for educational purposes and not meant to rain on any parades.

When measuring ctc from a group, you must deduct the actual size of a single hole in the paper…not the caliber. Deduction the caliber gives a very optimistic measurement. Your .050” ctc is likely at least twice that size. Your actual printed 22 holes are probably no bigger then .150, as can be seen from the shots in the center.

Either way, the groups are nice…so please don’t take this as criticism of the rifles performance.

While I agree with the sentiment, my .177 shoots ~.155" singular holes with domed pellets, this varies depending on the shape of the projectile...OP's holes in the center look much bigger than .15". Just my 2c.

The 10 ring is .530” on these targets. It looks as if it would take about 3 1/2 holes to span it from outside to outside side of ring.
