FX Panthera barrel system (attachment / support)?

Sound...

Very interested in finding out. I totally get the plenum change with barrel length as we can see there is barely 6 inches of the 700mm barrel left out after the plenum. If a 600mm barrel is there it would be poking out barely an inch at the most so no room for shroud of any kind. Granted with an adapter that's one stiff 600mm barrel, hope the barrel itself is just another STX barrel and hopefully easily changed out since I have spare barrels to try.

However, why caliber change requires dealership? No idea, same barrel length of different caliber will use the same plenum so I'm guessing it requires valve or some part of the action that can't be changed easily by the users? I'm kind of bummed about this but I knew that going in.

My assumption is that it's because as the plenum is attached to the barrel in some way it'll be a more involved procedure getting to the breech end to change the caliber there.
In all likelihood it won't be very hard at all (potential need for specialist tools notwithstanding),but given the proximity of high pressure air and multiple seals, coupled with the tendencies of some less informed and/or mechanically inclined buyers, the whole 'dealership required' story is almost certainly a question of limiting liability, as well as simply avoiding a multitude of 'my Panthera leaks!' complaints.

FX would say something like this: through our testing we’ve found that by adding a carbon sleeve the barrel will be more rigid. But wait there’s more….a barrel tensioner is in the work specially designed for the Panthera will be released during summer of 2023.

Do you know if there has been any update as to a barrel tensioner for the Panthera?
