Yeah and it would be fun to purchase a Pantheara and travel around competing shooting slugs at PRS matches. Not everyone can do this, or has a 200 yard shooting range.I like the look of the Pantera, but from what I understand the 500mm barrel CAN be used with pellets and some slugs, but it was designed as a COMPETETION SLUG rifle. SO taming it down for pellets would be like castrating a race horse.
the Idea of the Panthera designed as a competition slug rifle is correct, and the 700 most likely will be used for that, Then, we also have other versions of the panthera like the 500 that looks like a perfect hunting gun, lets not put all the different versions of the gun in the same box pleaseI like the look of the Pantera, but from what I understand the 500mm barrel CAN be used with pellets and some slugs, but it was designed as a COMPETETION SLUG rifle. Same here. It looks fuggly to me. No way it that worth 2k. LOL I think FX is getting desperate or something. The panthera is a kind of weird design. It is absolutely futuristic but total length (49 inches) makes me remind David Crockett's rifle.
That rifle may not be shot from inside a vehicle. No way to handle it in the cabin.
Not for me !
Once again, yes the 700 is 49" long but the 500 is only 38" and that is shorter then the majority of standard rifles,......seems like everybody just looks at the Panthera like only the 700 version existSame here. I saw the different versions at Utah Airguns. Still don't like the concept of this Panthera thing. But to each there own.Once again, yes the 700 is 49" long but the 500 is only 38" and that is shorter then the majority of standard rifles,......seems like everybody just looks at the Panthera like only the 700 version exist![]()
I see the 700 as a great gun for those that like target shooting of benches or long range hunting, I see the 500 as a fantastic bush gun, powerful, ergonomic, well balanced with the tank in the back not top heavy and fantastic with the scope so close to the barrel,...actually I see several great concepts with the various versions.I saw the different versions at Utah Airguns.
