About to pull the trigger on one of the dreamlines. 3 years warranty sounds good. How do they back it up? What's your experience?

FX is a great airgun maker. They have a warranty center in NC and have never heard of anyone getting screwed by them. I own 4 FX rifles but never needed service on them. I would not hesitate to buy another.

I have had a couple of very minor problems with two of my three FX rifles and the crew at FX-USA took care of them very quicklly. I would buy another FX without question about support or quality.

I've had 6 so far, never a problem with any of them. Never even had to replace a gauge or o ring.

I have called customer support a couple times and they have always been good with covering parts under warranty and giving me technical support when needed. Overall very happy with the USA Service Team at FX.

They have messed up two of the three times I needed them and it took months to straighten things out. But they have always got it right in the end so no complaints.

Travis at Airgun Source is my dealer in Canada and is great at customer service. Fxusa has helped me with parts in the past (upgrade/change) parts. Glad to have dealers in North America with an inventory of parts.

Just put an order for a Tac compact. I am new to PCP, any tips will be appreciated.
What else do I need to order to get it up and shooting? What do you guys use to fill the cylinders? Hand pumps?
I heard something about a regulator upgrade... worth it? which part to order?

Factory regulator is PLENTY good. I'd just advise only making adjustments to it in SMALL increments (then dry fire) only moving the pressure up. If you need to adjust pressure down, it's advisable to de-gas the gun. (air tank should be removable while still full, making it easy to de-gas the gun, double check on that) Preferably you adjust the regulator as little as possible. Find the sweet spot, and leave it.
I use a yong heng to fill a 9 litre tank. Then fill my guns from that. Your gun has a relatively small reservoir, so would not be nearly as much of a pain to hand pump as my 480 or 580cc bottles would be.
I'd pick up a decent scope, mounts, a moderator, and bipod if you don't have one. And plenty of JSB or FX pellets

When getting into PCPs it’s a good idea to have your Air Source figured out. You have plenty of options. Some are better than others, but highly subjective. You can rent a Nitrogen tank from a welding supply, you can pump by hand (I have never done it, & most don’t recommend it) Buy a high end compressor (expensive $2K+) a cheap compressor (it’s always a gamble) Mid grade compressor ~ $750 to 1200, still a gamble, you can fill a tank at a local dive shop - they don’t always fill to such high pressure, and a booster, that’s what I use, they are slow.

I totally agree with that. Would you buy a car if you did not have a way to put fuel in it. It’s not what most entering the PCP world want to hear, but you need to put the horse before the cart.
