Fx or daystate

I've had the pleasure of shooting the fx Indy, the fx bobcat and the verminator mk2. My Indy had a pump had issues. I sent it in 3 times! And the problem was never fixed I finally traded it in. My friends bobcat leaks air. He got the gun 2 days ago. Nothing on the verminator yet. I also have a daystate wolverine .22. With no problems at all so far. I'm kind of leaning towards daystate.. anyone else have problems with other fx products? If there gonna take an arm and a leg from you ($1000 and up) at least make them work!

I have a Royale 400 that is 2yr old and it has had no major issues, love it, usually its the first gun out of the safe when heading to the range, I also have a Daystate Huntsman that also has had no major problems in 4 years. I recently purchased a FX Royale 500 and upon receiving this rifle I noticed a lot of Q.C issues you would not expect with a rifle in this price range, I have sent it back without firing one single pellet, disappointed is an understatement, am still waiting for this to be resolved but am starting to lean towards asking for a refund and buying a Steyr LG 110 HP Hunting. Looking through all the threads it would seem FX's quality control is not what it should be for what is considered a top end air rifle.

I have a 0.22 Pulsar, on High 35 ft-lb using 21 grain Baracuda Match 55 shots from 230 to 160 bar. But I prefer Medium power, 30 ft-lb using JSB 16 grains 100 shots from 230 to 130 bar. At 920fps the Pulsar will consistently shoot 0.25" ctc 5 shot groups at 40 yards, sometimes 0.15".☺ Most of my shooting is into trees so 30 ft-lb is more than enough. If I need to shoot ground vermin at 150 yards I use the 17 CF.😀

Plus the Pulsar in forest laminate looks classy. Love it.👍

Im in a similar dilemma myself I have a £2000 budget for a new Rifle, I have a BSA R10 .22 and a DAYSTATE MK4 Platinum .177 I use the MK4 for HFT but now my BSA R10 is just getting long in the tooth now so im in need for a nice new .22 for a general use gun, so far iv made my mind up on a Bullpup but iv spent days on end trying to decide between a PULSAR or a FX Wildcat or Bobcat, Im leaning more towards the DAYSTATE purely because iv had a few of their rifles over the years and the quality of product seems excellent (not in everyone's case) but all mine have been fine. The only thing holding me back is I keep hearing so many good thing's about FX Bullpup's plus the price difference between the DS & FX is substantial, Iv never owned an FX so I don't know about the quality of them yet so I think im going to have to go test some and get a feel for them first.

Well i'm just gonna go for it I found a local shop on the internet an they happen to have one last Pulsar ORO Limited Edition so it will go nicely with my MK4 Platinum, worst case scenario if I don't like it I should break even an sell it to a collector but hopefully it'll be my .22 air rifle of choice for the next few years ill post some pic's hopefully tomorrow :D

Well I picked up my new Pulsar OR on Friday night im more than happy with it as a "product" ill find out next weekend on the range if it lives up to the hype just waiting for some new scope mount's.

I did this 10 shot group this morning at 35 yards im happy with that from a brand new barrel, pellets out the tin and no scope mounted, Cant wait to get a scope on it an try it properly

I own and have owned both. The FX is a Royal in a synthetic stock but a friend has it in wood. It is no where near the DS! The Daystate's have it all over in the looks and fit & finish dept. That said, I have had incredible luck with both brands. Borh are accurate as you can manage and better. If you are price conscious don't be afraid of the FX's. They will reform rt up there with any quality rifle.
Beauty and function, the Daystates reign supreme out of the box..

Did you put the Pulsar in a rifle vise? If you are hitting at 50 yards with looking over the rail I am glad that I don't have to compete against you in BR.......LOL
