FX new A.M.P regulator. Any info?

Just wondering about FX’s new A.M.P regulator? As in the new Dreamline and FX Wildcat .30cal. 

Is it a new redesigned regulator? What makes it better? (Or is it just different?).

it seems as though it will handle winding the regulator up and down without doing damage. So does that make it better?

Slug liners for the .25cal and maybe the .30cal to be released.

I received my .25 Compact on 12/14/18. It has the AMP Regulator in it. I pulled it when I was going to swap it out with a Huma. Also, air cylinder has x2 vent ports of which one is for the regulator adjustment. Perhaps FX is switching all their Wildcats over to AMP Regulator in 2019.

Look at the Utah Airguns Dreamline unboxing video. Watch the shot consistency out of the box. That might give you a hint about how good the AMP reg is.

I was under the impression the main complaint had to do with creep more so than consistency of a string. Besides, the latter has a lot to do with state of tune and even the pellets themselves so at least part of that responsibility lies with the user, but the user can’t do much about solving creep. At least not without some skilled fabrication capabilities.

So far the AMP reg is the size and design that fits in an air cylinder, so Wildcat and Dreamline are the ones.

Unless they will also make the smaller kind that fits in the breech block of a Crown or Impact, it'll just be those other models.

As far as creep, at least with the Crown reg, there is a remedy for this written by AGN member Weatherby I think. It involves rearranging the bellville washers.

I might do that if the govt shutdown keeps up.

Are you being affected by it? I am, and it sucks so I feel your pain man.

Yes, I have creep. But the reg is fantastic otherwise. I've gotten several shot strings with ES under 10.

If I get time tomorrow I'll probably do the mod.
