FX Moderator

I have an FX Impact that came with its hollow moderator. I bought a Donny FL for it and it works great. I just bought an Air Arms S510 that did not come with a moderator. I did buy the Donny FL thread adapter for the Air Arms muzzle that allows the FX hollow moderator to attach. Has anyone on the forum made the guts for one of the FX moderator. I have access to machinery to make the necessary internals but if someone has some drawings or sketches of what they made and are willing to share i would be grateful.

It's a file for a 3D printer. I've printed a bunch of the baffles before but haven't tried them to see how much they help. Since I shoot at a rifle range, the noise doesn't bother me much. My gun is a gen1, hollow can (moderator) with virtually no sound suppression in .25.

My Wildcat 3 in 25 shooting 25.39 at 870 on P6 has the hollow FX moderator on it and it works better than my DonnyFL FX or Sumo I was really amazed by that.

I’ll have to take all the guts out of my Donny FL and see if it’s quieter.

You are right, I put the FX hollow moderator on my new Air Arms S510 and man is it quite. That save me a lot of messing around making internals for it. Thank you.

I made guts for my hollow mod , 4 baffles wrapped with felt . the plain hollow worked just as good . WTF . Enjoy Ray

I took my brand new Air arms S510 to the gun club this morning with the hollow FX can. Oh man it’s quiet. Can’t wait till September 1st for squirrel season to open. 

On a side note, the S510 is amazing. There was a pistol match going on and a guy came and asked if he could fire 10 rounds of 9mm for a function check, I said go ahead and shoot at the top half of my target I had at 35 yards. He walked 10 yards down range, fired his 10 rounds and thanked me. He had one round low on the target. I then proceeded to use that as my target. Every pellet went through that 9mm hole without making it any bigger. Excellent.
