FX Maverick users, do you reccomend it?

I have a maverick. I bought it new in .30 cal as a sniper. It’s been an awesome shooter but I wasn’t a fan of the length for my use so I ended up doing away with the 700mm barrel and getting two 500mm barrel kits, one in .30 and one in .25. Both are excellent shooters. Tuning was a bit of a pain to figure out at first but it’s great now

I have 2 Mavericks: one 25cal Sniper and one 22cal Sniper. They both are great guns and never had a single problem out of either one. They both shoot slugs equally well with the standard superior liner. There is a learning curve with tuning an airgun with 2 regulators, but once I had it down, it was never a problem again. My .25cal is set right now shooting NSA 29.5's at 998fps.
The cons for me are that it is an all-black airgun. Have 2 of these has made me consider selling one of them just to buy the Wildcat BT Sniper so I could have Utah Air hydro dip the stock. Outside of that it is hard to find fault in an airgun that shoots about everything you put in it accurately and maxes out at 85 foot pounds.

I do not have a sniper, but a compact in .22. It is my newest gun, and have used it some month in factory tune. The cocking was rather stiff from the beggining, but after 4-5 tins of pellets everything is now smooth. I would say I like it very much. But if I should buy one now, I might consider a wildcat mk3 BT instead, which is esentially the same gun, but probably has a more comfortable stock. I do have wildcat mk2, which basically has the same stock as the mk3. If you can shoulder both in a shop, I would try both, before deciding on either one. If you choose the maverick, I would say a bagrider is a nessesarry accesorry, as it is hard to shoot comfortable on a bench without, same as the impact.

My Maverick is my favorite gun in my fleet. I picked it up used as a 600mm 22 caliber and shot it about a month in that configuration. I then picked up a 600mm 25 caliber kit and that's how it sits today. Extremely accurate and very versatile. Love the fact it shoots most pellets very well with the standard superior liner. Light weight and carries well. Only problem is I keep buying accessories for it, got a few more to buy before I'm "finished" with it.

I’ve had a .25 compact for about a month now. It’s super accurate with 33.95 jsb pellets, and shoots them with authority. With the dual regs, the creep is not an issue so I can be confident that my first shot will be dead on when grabbing it for a quick pesting job.

All that being said, it’s not for everyone. Having the dual regs makes it more in depth to tune, and you go through a LOT of air to do so because of the huge plenum, and needing to degas to set front reg before rear reg. If you have an air source, it shouldn’t be a problem, but something to think about unless you’re having it tuned by the dealer, and never touching it again.

Had both sniper and compact options for mine. Liked them both depending on what the "discipline of the day" was, bench or woods. I had a Wildcat MK3 sniper as well and really liked the super compact feel of that stock, just wonderful. What kept me from really using the WC for all my woods walking was the fact it wasn't stable and secure on my ball tripod when attached. The stock would flex from the rear positioned weight of scope and most of the breach. Was just "flimsy" and I didn't trust it while walking with it on the tripod.
So, that solidified the Maverick Compact as the all around woods walker for me.
It is gone as well as the WC. Impacts' in all the configurations are my new go-to and am very happy.
