FX Maverick Sniper

Yes, I have one in 22cal and one in .25cal. Just ordered the tungsten hammer weight for the .25cal. I plan on squirrel hunting this fall with the JSB KO MKII's in the 25cal.

I have a 22 Sniper. It is a dedicated slug gun and has never had a pellet down the barrel. I have the heavy slug liner installed.
Shooting NSA 27.5, 217’s @ 960 it will shoot 1 1/8” @ 100 yards. That is my best group size and I shot it from a prone position with a light quartering wind. I think the gun would do better in more accomplished hands but it does what I need it to do, which is hit ground squirrels at what i consider extended ranges.

I have a 22 Sniper with medium weight hammer and high power tune set at 200/150 on the regs and hsa almost full out. On PW7 I shoot the 30 gr javelin slugs ,218 at 984fps SD at 4. The NSA 27.5 gr .218 shoot at 985fps /sd 6 on PW6. Very accurate shooting out to 100yds. Now when I try to shoot my Crosman 14.3 HP on PW0 I get 992fps with SD 23. The Hades 15.89 shoot at 958fps SD 30 on PW1, The Monster Red shot at 922fps SD 10 PW3 and were very accurate out to 100yds. What was amazing the cheapest pellet, Crosman, shot very accurate out to 80 yds. I was at the range for over 4 hrs going through all of this and had a blast. But ran out of time and couldn't even get to my other rifle, Black Betty, my 30 cal which is a compact Maverick. I hunt with both rifles as well as bench target.

22cal is a long list as the gun is not picky. FX 16,18,25, plus FX Hybrids, JSB Knockouts in .217 and the MKII's in .216. Also, Baracuda 18's, 21's in match grade, NSA 20.3, 24.8 and 17.5's but could only shoot them with the Pellet transfer port as they kept getting hung in the Slug transfer port side as they are short. Pellets shooting anywhere from 860 to 900 except for the MRD's shooting up to 935fps. I shot all slugs over 900fps up to 990fps. I usually start at 925-950 at 50 yards to see how the accuracy is before going up or down. Also, JSB 33.95 Beast shoot well at 50. I hear they are not as good at 100 comparted to the 25.39's but didn't check. H&N 23 and 25 grain slugs did well in the .217 version, but not the 21 grains. The Standard Superior liner does well with slugs 25 grains and below and still shoots pellets well.
