FX Maverick Sniper - what a surprise !

Birthday gift from my wife. I’ve never owned an air rifle before. All of mine are regular powder burners. She did her own research, made a few calls and came up with a pretty good set up for me. FX Maverick Sniper .22 caliber, DonnyFL silencer, Nomad II air compressor, 1000 rounds of 26 gr pellets, Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24x50 scope and a Magpul bipod. I’ve ordered a few slugs along with the heavy barrel liner and the heavier hammer kit. Just need to get it tuned up right and sighted in now. I’m setting it up to hopefully hit targets out to 100-150 yards. We’ll see how that works out.

if you have any suggestions for me I’d welcome any help I can get. Looking forward to learning something new here. Maybe this OLD dog can still learn some new tricks.

Surely you dropped some hints? 

If my wife tried to pick me out an airgun and compressor I'd end up with an airsoft gun and a compressor meant for airbrush use by artists. 

We both agreed long ago to not buy each other gifts. Oh we still get birthday and mother's day etc gifts, we just pick out our own stuff so that we get what we actually want.

 Congrats! I'm with @franklink my wife means well but doesn't understand it. We also buy our own gifts/tell each other what we'd want if they were gonna get us something.

Now the question is what is she expecting in return....

I would recommend a couple things. First, order yourself an 11g hammer weight from FX unless you are planning to only shoot slugs over 30 grn. Second, a Huma digital reg for the rear. Mayyyybe the Saber tactical bag rider. Then buy her flowers for being awesome.
