FX FX Maverick Sniper .22 Velocity All over the Place

I have a FX Maverick Sniper in .22 and the velocity is all over the place. The first few shots will be 975 (where I want them) then they fall off after that. They will go to 954, 948, 920, 890 and so on. Any suggestions to fix the problem?

Thank you in advance.
What is your first reg set at, then, what is your second reg set at?

About 125/100
Bump up #1 to 145/150, there is your slow recovery. You don't say what weight pellet you're shooting, but at 100 bar you're having to use a lot of hammer spring for little gain, I'll bet it sounds loud when it hits, bump up #2 to 120ish, you'll be cranking in your hammer spring adjuster A BUNCH but thing's settle down, I'm running a 600mm barrel. I've got 21.44mm on the over all on the HSA in my notes but I think it's wrong, I'll have to take my 600 apart and check tomorrow.

I am shooting an H&N 21gr slug. Would you still recommend me make these adjustments?

I can tell you I fought this for over a month. Mine wasn’t as bad it would shoot errant 25 fps slow shots for like 2-3 shots then be right back. I just sent it in to fx. I missed the call from the tech unfortunately but when I called them the lady said the cocking rod was bent and something about the hammer assembly was assembled wrong which makes no sense as I sent it to them with all that disassembled. Anyway whatever they did was spot on as now it doesn’t vary maybe 3 fps with 25 cal hades. It was all warrantied work as well.

Oh crud, slugs, that is a can of worms I don't touch, way too many variables. That disclaimer stated, you need more oomph, short and fast but there is zero guarantee that it'll work. You have no guarantee that those slugs fit your barrel properly. Short term, change #1 and #2 and take your HSA out and measure it with digital calipers, hello Harbor Freight. Oh watch out for that pesky 3mm ball bearing, they try to escape, use a dab of grease in the hole to hold it in place upon reassembly.
