FX Maverick (for lefty shooter)

I know the FX Impact and Maverick can be switched to suit a left handed shooter but I noticed the magazine on the Maverick is on the right side right on the cheek pad. Is that also reversible?? On the Impact it is more centered underneath, but I was going to get the Maverick....however, if it's going to be uncomfortable to shoot maybe I'll opt for the Impact.

Is the magazine reversible as well?

If not have any left handed shooters had an issue with the magazine? Does it get in your way?

Thanks

Hey Kevin,

I have an Impact MK2 Compact with the 28 round mag. I am a Lefty too and that gun is perfectly fine for me , the mag is a non issue.

I do Not own the Maverick , but i have been told it is Very uncomfortable for us a lefty, You are correct the mag on the Maverick is right at your eye socket / cheekbone ..

RackNLoad is a lefty , here is what he said about it as a lefty His Comment starts at the 2:19 ish part of the video

Nope, bad news on the Maverick. That big ol magazine is firmly sticking out to set your cheek bone on a collision with it.

As I recall, there is a smaller magazine that can be used that isn't so obtrusive, but it is still right where your face is.

If you haven't seen it, the new Argus 45 and 60 have the magazine, fully buried in the stock. The cocking lever can be swapped to either side. Although I like having the lever on the "left" side as a right handed shooter. It keeps your trigger hand stable on the grip / trigger. I've got an Argus 45. Great little gun.

I'd bet that the new Cricket II and Cricket II Tactical would suit left handed shooters well for the same reasons as above.

Good luck.
