It could be too little space. If the barrel moves a tiny bit due to the airblast (which all barrels do due to harmonics) they would touch. And this ruins accuracy (speaking with experience because of too long mlok attachment screws)No have 1 mm Space moderator /bottle
Twist rate 1:24Regarding twist rates: I've seen both 1:16 and 1:24 twist rate 380mm 22 caliber FX liners advertised. Marc, please verify the twist rate of your Maverick and let us know. Thanks.

Yes, I had to compensate for the short liner with a slightly higher pressure, which is logical.Shot my Maverick today, had a almost empty tin of H&N FT pellets, and OMG it use to not really like those, but that was the old barrels.
Finished up with 1/2 tin of JSB heavy 10.34 grain at 870 - 880 fps, and in spite of the not at all good winds good fun was had shooting 30 and 50 M distances.
Will have to bring a extra tin of Heavies for Thursday CUZ my little sister will be shooting the Maverick.
BTW shooting these 10.XX grain pellets at 45 - 50 BAR on the regulator ( 600 mm barrel ), use to shoot 13 gr slugs at 90 BAR with a 700 mm barrel.
A compact of course need a swifter but shorter kick in the behind to get up to speeds, hence why he is at 110 BAR i think
