Tuning FX Maverick 25 caliber roll call

For 25 caliber Maverick owners, I'm curious what your preferred projectile/speed is? Looking to get a list going to see what is most popular. Please include barrel length as well. Added bonus to include hammer weight, liner, and reg pressures. I'll start...

600mm barrel, 11g hammer weight, stock STX liner. Regs at 150/115psi. FX 34g pellets on PW7 at 905fps, and 25.4g Atomic pellets on PW5 at 915fps. Best groups are with the 34g pellets.

700mm STX Heavy liner, CF tube, 11g hammer weight, regs at 150/100, JSB 33.9gr pellets, 900fps, PW-7.

Good to 75-80y, opens up at 100.

I would assume it's possible, the Maverick has plenty of power on tap with a heavy hammer weight installed. I was hitting 75fpe easily with the 13g hammer on a 600mm barrel and still had more reg pressure on tap.

Like asking, "So not possible to use 25gr pellets?". The OP just asked about popular pellet/slugs, not maximum.

The FX SideShot magazine maxes out with the 38.9gr NSA slug.

sniper with regs at 160/130, pw-7, 38.5gr slugs @ 1010fps accurately out to and beyond 100yrds.
heavy liner, heavy hammer, slug kit and ER's DTP
2 mags worth.

i agree....my Uragan-1 .30, 105fpe for crows 100yrds+

The opening is .60", same as the 257420 but that is a .257" bullet, not a .25 slug. You could use a single load tray and bypass or delete the first regulator and go the full 200bar on a .25 slug.

Arsenal does not make a .251 mold.

Maverick Sniper 700mm 170/145 with slug power kit and Tungsten hammer weight. I could have went higher but the SD was way too good to move it. 44 grain H&N's .250's.

Depends, have you tried and have run out of regulator?

Simple cure for running out of regulator, Buy A LOT of Bellevilles from McMaster-Carr, as in 100 or more, and pick out the big ones, a .53 average will give you 117 bar minimum, heavier stack, more bar. a .48 avg. stack will give you 75-125. A .42 stack is maxed out at 100bar. You CAN add two more to the stack, BUT YMMV on the results.

25 cal Maverick Compact. JSB 25.39 pellets. 1st reg 200 bar, 2nd reg 105 bar. IHS ? Bottomed it out and just started backing it out until I hit 885 fps. Probably less than 3 turns out. Superbly accurate and consistent velocity.

25 cal Maverick Compact. Fx 25.4 Gr pellets. 1st reg 125 bar, 2e reg 95 bar. Powerwheel 4, standard liner , spring and hammer. Huma high flow dual port II. Average speed 866 fps at 44 fp. Same config with the led free 22gr Zan slug on powerwheel 5, average speed 920 fps

Compact here all stock internals. Can’t remember exactly where the first reg is. It’s 135-140 bar. Second reg is around 100 bar. I only really shoot 25.39 pellets. I don’t mess with the power wheel. I put it on seven and tune the internal adjuster to find the sweet spot for an extremely low speed spread for the given reg pressure. For the above given setup that is right around 900 fps with 25.39 pellets.
