Of all the advantages of owning an FX rifle, the greatest advantage of all (by my account) is FX's dedication to teach it's customers how to maintain and repair and adjust their own guns with confidence. What other airgun manufacturer would dare to do such a thing? And FX certainly picked the right man for the job, a job that Ernest was already doing, all at his own expense and effort.
Stop and think about it. FX could have gobbled up Ernest and made him strictly a company man, and the airgun community would have lost much of the benefit that it previously enjoyed with Ernest. But that's apparently not the case with FX. If FX makes good on this "Masterclass", we've lost nothing! Further, it's a TRIPLE WIN WIN WIN. FX WINS. Ernest WINS. And the airgun community WINS. There's no downside to it for anybody. What might be seen by other airgun manufacturers as "FX is giving up the store", FX apparently sees as a potential windfall for FX and everyone! I think the other leading airgun manufacturers will be forced to follow FX's lead in this. We can only hope. But if not, then FX is going to win yet another deserved increase in market share.
What's the old saying? "Those not willing to lead, must be willing to follow."
Thanks Ernest and Freddy!
