FX Magazine question

I like to have my Wildcat ready to grab in case something comes into the yard that doesn't need to be there and I need to address it in a hurry (think coyote). I keep the magazine loaded just for that reason. So - is it hurtful to the spring in the magazine to keep it loaded? I'm thinking eventually this cold have a negative effect. Maybe if I kept it loaded only to half capacity?

Keep it loaded with 2 pellets if it makes you feel better but most probably keep them fully loaded and I do believe the wind up spring may eventually take a set but they are easy to replace as long as you have spares on jand.

You must have a newer WC (III?). The older ones, WC I and II don't have a spring they advance via a little arm upon cocking and the pellets rea retained via an O-Ring inside the magazine.

If your worried load the mag at half capacity. Dought any pest will give you more shots. I keep FX mags and after market full in the gun case so I'm ready to go. I have 30 round AR mags full and been that way for 20 years( I do clean ammo now and then) and if thats any indicator I'm good with the airgun mags. Oh forgot powder burner semi automatic mags the same.
