FX M3 will not cock

I have a FX M3 .25cal and am changing over to slugs. I recently put the power slug kit on this rifle. YouTube was a great help. Problem is... when I go to pull the cooking lever to load the slug, the lever goes to the backstop but will not click to load the slug. There is no pressure release point at the end of the lever cooking cycle. I have torn the gun apart, oiled all parts and visually cannot find any problem. Has anyone run into this problem? Any ideas on the fix?
Thanks..... oncall-50

Back off hammer spring?. Too much will cause that problem.
Just in case you need a little more instructions.....
To Back off the Hammer Spring... or Lessen Hammer Pre-Load...
You need to turn both the Power-Wheel and micro-adjust to position #1... just to be sure!!

This should've been an easy fix...especially if you followed the instructions in the posts above. Part of the fun of owning a rifle like the Impact is the ability to tweak and tune it to your liking; if you're going to be FEDEX'ing it back to FX for every fix, that's going to waste a lot of time and money...not to mention prevent you from really getting to know your rifle.

On a recent re-assembly, my M3 wouldn't cock properly (opposite problem to yours where it took a lot of force to pull back the cocking handle) - but that just b/c I wrenched down the bolts on the top guiding plate too much and that prevented the cocking block from sliding freely backwards. Easy fix. The time before that, I was changing out the pellet probe holder and inadvertently changed the overall length of the silver rod thing-a-bobber that connects the probe holder to the front cocking block and the rifle wouldn't cock then either. A couple of trial and error adjustments there and it worked again. If I can do it, just about everyone should be able to so take a stab it at next time (because there will be a next time at some point) and save yourself the shipping money and weeks worth of waiting to get your rifle back.

OK, yenniedn..... you were successful in politely getting my attention. I am an educated man who loves a tinkering challenge. Yes, with a little goating, I may have the wherewithal to continue my quest to find the problem. Your advice on possible fixes is " spot-on". In hind sight, they make perfect sense. Where were you 24 hours for positive reinforcements? Alack & alas... next time!
