FX Liner O Rings

You need them to have less vibration of the liner inside the barrel, if the orings are not there then the liner is held on by only the points with no support in the middle or across.

Put silicone grease on the orings and when you insert the liner, turn it around as if it was a screw as you push it in, the orings stay more or less in place.

There are videos showing it.

Good luck.

I just did some extensive testing last week while on vacation with between 0 o-rings and 9 o-rings, held in place with tape. My Impact MKII shoots best by far with zero o-rings! Don’t believe me though, try it for yourself. I tested with the slug liner and Superior liner and with zero o-rings my gun is shooting better than it ever has! People will tell you all kinds of things, that’s why it’s best to test this stuff for yourself. Good luck!

If nothing else, you've at least convinced me to give it a try. I can believe it but never thought to try it.

Thanks

That's not the first time I have heard this. I think some of the main FX video shooters don't use the O-rings. I just can't remember who it was that said that, but one of them did.

Steve Scaliii said it at one time and so did Ted, I think. I just test everything myself because guns and parts are different and I like messing with my impact anyway. I wanted to see the difference for pellets, slugs, hybrids, etc... In the case of the slug liner and superior, no O-rings shoot best in my gun. I tried many different combinations, o’rings spaced evenly, more in the middle, more in the front and rear, everything I could think of, only to find zero worked. best in my gun. Other guns, like mtnGhost,s Veteran really benefit from a stiff barrel, just not the FX.

I spaced the 3 o rings evenly and held them in place with tape and installed my heavy superior liner and tested it yesterday at 50 yards and my nsa 24.8 grain slugs did not group well but my jsb redesigned grouped well. I may stick with pellets. I don’t want to spend a bunch of money on different slugs to try. The nsa slugs shot decent out of my slug A liner. Might have to put it back in.

If you're saying it shoots best by far i will try it too. Thanks for the input!
