Wow, alot of those comments. We shot the gun at 48 and 70 yards. Don't worry. About 10 people complained about only shooting at 35 yards. I guess 12 minutes is too long for todays viewers. Actually, I get 25% watch time, (really bad). If I made 6 minute videos with all the same content I could possibly get 50% watch time (the bottom end of "good"). I just have a hard time charging what I charge for a 6 minute video. Time for a "Remix" channel to experiment with shorter content.
(Making videos?) 50%-80% watch time (Mr. Beast is 80%) + a CTR (click through rate) of 8% (very good) - 10%+(considered viral) will = every video you make will go viral, guranteed. This guy did it: https://www.youtube.com/@blockethoutdoors But kill channels are not my style. You can get those numbers talking about your Cat or reporting the News. Really anything. Just hit those numbers and the ads pay about $10k for every 1 million views. Easy money.
What would make these type of videos (“reviews”) more valuable and therefore interesting to me would be:
- shoot at least a full mag over the chrony after filling (meaning including the first shot), even better a full fill and give us speed of the first shot, ES, SD and actual shot count.
- for guns with quick tune systems, power wheels and whatnot turn it down and shoot lighter ammo without changing anything else, again give us ES and SD just to see whether it’s actually usable that way and how sensitive the gun is to its tune.
- talk a bit more about the magazine and try different size ammo in it to see whether it cycles different ammo properly.
- skip reiterating the manufacturer specs. We know them (or can simply look them up). We wanna see whether they actually are true, in particular weight.
IMHO, this would provide way more insights than going over specs/features as per manufacturer and some shots at different distances. Obviously still want to see groups and you can shoot them while going over the chrony…
