FX Indy Leaking

Hi guys,

Been a member of AGN since day ... 1 I guess (username - greg). Forgot my password AND the e-mail address I used to sign up ... Oh, well, lost my +10 accuracy points :)

Anyway, I was afraid it would start one day - and it did. My 4 y/o .22 FX Indy, which I put maybe 2000-3000 pellets through started loosing pressure. About 30 bar a day. I think it started happening a few days ago, when I switched from power 1 to 3 and back, though not sure how that may have affected things.

I know its not the most popular gun (though I love it) - but any thoughts on where to start looking?

Tanks!

I picked up an FX Indy 25 all decked out from a guy at work. Rifle is 2 years old and he only shot 2 magazines and away into the safe. He stored it with no pressure in the tank. Great trade on my side....I will be watching this post....Right now it holds pressure, but I know sooner or later it might leak.

Totally new to this PCP thing and I think I might be addicted...

To check the gauge to see if it is leaking I guess I could use soapy water and look for bubbles, but how do you know if the gauge is bad?

Recovered my original account, thanks Michael!

Will have to try soapy water wherever I can. Taking Indy apart is a bit of hassle: Shroud:

I've always used a hand pump - never a tank, so there is plenty of water inside the pump system - that I know for sure from going 20% into the process of removing it, just enough to see the walls of the 1st stage.
