It looks to me like you will also have a height difference to deal with as well. The rail on the Impact looks higher than an AR rail. Even if your mount would fit the scope may still be to high.

LaRue mounts are made in the US. Top of the line stuff.

Well I got my Impact today super excited. I got my larue mount to fit by of course by removing one of the recoil lugs(not happy about that) but the repeatability is still there cause one lug still remains. I decided that this mount would be strictly for this gun so no worries. By the way the gun shoots awesome.

Yes it is a tad high but to use the mounts and scopes I will need to use them until I buy a lower riser or buy individual 34mm rings which is another $150+. haha... My wife hates my hobbies...

I can confirm that the spacing is off on my one-piece pepr mount (Burris), as well. I think it is important to standardize the rail. It is something I did not encounter because I used two-piece rings. That said, I'm sure removing one recoil lug will have ZERO affect on the security of the mount. But, I will make mention of this in the video review.
It seems that the entire rail comes off with a few screws. So, if FX does, in fact, create a standardized rail in the future, a swap will be possible.

Thanks Ted. I did not know the rail was removeable. That could be very handy. I could see FX offering rails that are adjustable for elevation some day as an accessory for extremely long range shooting.

Thats what i would like from this Thread or any other Impact thread is to help FX to improve this impressive rifle.
Now if husband and fatherly duties would allow for time for me to tinker and play with the rifle this week unlike this past weekend.

To allow your mounts to fit properly you will need to possibly wait for FX to get make new rails that you can be switched out or You need to "carefully" sand the anodize coating off and a bit more of the Aluminum from the slots of the Picatinny rail.
Now the LaRue mount goes on like butter as it always has!

I will need to get back to you an that I more or less just literally mounted. Texboy has had no noticeable shift after mounting his on and off after his surgery on his LaRue mount removing one of the lugs. With the lugs its a nice snug fit so I don't expect a shift on zero but I don't think any QD mount is 100% maybe 99.8% return to zero.

...LOL... Good eye Michael because I never noticed that and now I need to go look at my rifle. It may be because I been taking pictures using my Macbook Pro (face time camera) but not sure?

Yeah it is the FaceTime camera. They reverse the image like that so it resembles a mirror- when you move left your image moves left. It would be insanely confusing otherwise at those FaceTime moments you try to slide that little picture of yourself off your friend's face.

Ok maybe I'm still a nobody and thats ok but I did get a personal message from FX by Johan which stated "that they are reading the threads" and would like to send a new rail to me that will have the correct Picatinny measurements.
I guess this is a indication that they are standing by their new line and fine tuning the production/specs of the rifle. I also sure do appreciate call/email to obtain the updated part.
So thank you FX

Well I had some spare time after putting my daughter down for a nap so I grabbed the rifle, chrony Pro and stepped outside my door to do a very QUICK sight-in. With my butt on the ground and the bipod on my knees target measuring at 31 yards my first 11 shots were measuring speed and lowering the power wheel and then adjusting scope. The next 15 and this is what you see in the picture below I called it a day other duties to attend. average speed 881, Power wheel 3, JSB Exact Kings 25 cal.
(off the knees no bench or bags this average shooter can't complain)
Looking forward to what the Impact can really do and I believe that the rifle out shot me....
