FX Impact Regulator

Ok guys, As I've posted on here just a couple times since I'm new to the PCP world. I have a question??? I recently purchased a new FX Impact. I love the gun and to me anyway it shoots great. I watched a vid from AOA about the Impact and they said that the regulator pressure is set at 140bar from the manufacturer. When I look at the gauge on my Impact at 250bar on the pressure tank gauge the regulator gauge located near the butt end of the gun is reading something like 125bar.
So, when I got my Impact from AOA the 5 shot speed test showed like 891- 900 fps. I believe I've heard thats a really good speed to shoot, right around 900 fps.And I was also told that the regulator pressure gauge located at the butt end of the Impact usually isn't very accurate. So, if the Impact was grouping well at 125bar and the gauge was showing and its shooting around 900 fps would you mess with the regulator to get it to 140 bar or just leave it alone?

Unless the gun isn't holding a group don't mess with it. Then that isn't where I would start especially if you have never tuned a gun before. You can damage the regulator very easily if you don't know what you are doing then you would loose your warranty. If it isn't shooting right contact the company you bought it from and go from there.
Have fun it is a really nice gun. I can't wait for the x barrels come out for it.

Generally I'd say that if you can attain the maximum desired velocity then I wouldn't increase the regulator pressure. You want the lowest regulator pressure possible. If you increase the regulator you may be increase your velocity but you'll only lose shot count.

Leave it alone. Only touch the reg after you've exhausted all the other adjustments. 
There's a trim screw on the block behind the power wheel. You can gain velocity by taking out the slack. Ernest Rowe has a video on it or, you can reference my video (13:44) about the Crown. They are very similar.

Thanks guys! I just went into my back yard and shot thru my crono that I have used for testing arrow speed. When I shot my JSB Exact King .25 25.39 gr pellets I shot from 899 to 902 fps on the highest power wheel setting with the regulator power/bar as described above. So, is that good? 900fps? And like I said it seems to be grouping great.

I'd leave it alone and just enjoy it especially if it's grouping good. If it ain't broken don't try to fix it...

I don't know how you have it setup but I would set a target up at 50 yards no wind condition it should shoot 1/2 groups no problem. I would have a level on it though.

Mine is a .25 cal too.

I haven't touch anything since Utah air guns tuned it for me and is working great.
Only thing I did was to move the power wheel to measure speeds.

I would firs try to adjust speed using only PW before touching the regulator, if you decide to move your regulator read the manual and if you can check the Ernest videos on youtube, so you don't break it.

guys i cant find the major tuning guide for the Impact, is there such or was it for the Crown only?
