I have the new regulator rebiuld installed and im currently having some problems. I have the reg set to 125 bar. After taking a shot it drops to 120 bar then works its way up to 125 bar. The probelm is that it takes almost 30 seconds for the reg to get back to its regulated pressure. What causes this ive inspected and changed all the o ring inside the reg. When shooting over the chrony my string is very consistant if i shoot shot after shot without much of a pause. If i wait 30 seconds or so my shot will be about 8fps higher. Just not sure what i could be.

Your reg is "creeping". Usually it's the seal on end of piston. I've only really fooled with paintball regulators, but once the little delrin ball gets too compressed in one spot it starts to creep. I flip the ball over and am good to go for quite a while, without creep.

Yeah I just replaced the reg piston i know thats not what it is. What do you mean by the delrin ball? Is that on a piantball reg?

Yes - the delrin ball at end of piston seals the reg shut.
I would imagine your piston has a similar seal. You might want to shoot it a while and see if it "seats" itself.
Below pic shows a Ninja piston on right and a chinese piston on left, which due to the seal/design showed horrible creep for me.

So with the new reg adjuster screw on the impact its flat on the tip. It used to be a pointed design. So like you said it prolly wasnt properly seating. I adjusted the gun to a lower pressure with the bottle still pressurized. I think that will have created a seat. We will see how that works. Its not supposed to be done but i did it. Well come to find out I been using the wrong reg piston. My impact uses the 14mm piston and the new model uses the 17mm. Ill be updating the action of my impact so that the new reg piston will work.

Gotta wonder though, you're "updating" the action. Does that mean FX is sending you a free action to replace yours? Or do you have to pay for it? If I had to pay I'd be having them send me a 14mm piston.

I installed the new electronic gauge on mine and after the shot it takes 6 minutes to go to 126 bars. Is it normal on all impacts or is just mine? If it's not what o'rings should i change?

Birdslayer could you be more specific? Has the reg piston size for the Impact been changed? Was it 14mm and now 17mm for Impact or did they send you a piston for a Crown by mistake. I just bought a new reg piston and I’m having gradual creep upwards. Thanks

Hi Drumsguns. The answer to your question is yes newer impacts now have a 17mm piston older have 14mm. As far as I know the 17mm is now the same in the Impact and the Crown.
I don’t know if there is a way to tell what you have without actually taking the reg piston out.

Yeah if your impact doesnt have the new trigger bushings. That means have the first gen model and you will need a 14mm reg piston. I opted to purchase a new action so i could use the new reg piston. Also because the new action has a better trigger. Its much much much better. I have two impact ones brand new other is waiting for new action.
