I am thinking about selling my WAR Flex 30 cal. and getting an impact 30 cal. I see the used impact's from time to time come up for sale. What are the differences between a gen 1 gen 2 the X or a MK II. I would like to have around 920 fps using the JSB 50 grain pellets. Which one would you recommend? Thanks for the info. Brian.

There is already a new version on the mk2 different than the "upgraded" mk2 version from the X, I haven't tested it yet, but considering it comes with an integrated / machined in the ValveHousing 6.3mm bore ex VS, that one might get you there without mods.

You can buy a used .30 caliber Impact, do a few relatively simple mods and have it shoot the speeds and energy you want for cheap. Shot count goes down considerably, but speeds at 170 bar are constant in the 970fps range.
- Add a 6-7 gram brass hammer weight,
-Change the C3 o-ring bumper to delrin or similar,
-Port and polish the valve housing's transfer port along with the rear block's transfer port
-Enlongate and give a venturi shape to the brass transfer port,
(The end results here are to have all three ports match up when installed),
-open up the valve seat to 6mm,
-Shoot and tune for accuracy (not shot count)
Additionally, putting on the extended plenum tube and larger 6.5mm valve seat and stem seal adds to the shot count and lower reg pressure.

That's what he's talking about...."used" meaning old. But if you are not real familiar with working on these guns and all the things you can mess up, I would not try it myself! I am a mechanical engineer and am having a hard time just finding/ fixing a leak on mine......PS, you will get leaks if you take it apart.

Does anyone know where to get the 6.5 vs and the stronger rod. I just picked up a gen2 Impact .30 and taking the plunge. I will probably be asking a lot of questions
