I need your help.. I have an FX Impact MKI and the small set screw that holds the bolt probe in place is stripped and it is half way out.. Therefore the cocking level will not move forward or back. How can i fix this issue..

Maybe take the gun partially apart after degassing. Then you can take the screw that holds the block that the pellet probe slides into out. Then should be able to rotate it and get it out. Vise grips or something might bite onto the stripped screw after out of the gun.
Make sure you heat the screw first or the other can be stripped also. Make sure youre using the correct size metric hex wrenches.

I believe its 1.5mm for the set screw for probe. The screw that holds that block is probably 3.

Either take the butt plate out so you have room to get the screw out or use a needle pliers to take it out. Do not want to put back a strip screw. So either order one from fx or find one that fit.

Sure if you want to risk damaging the threads in the little block. Nothing on this gun is standard. Use metric tools.
How much is sticking out? You can cut a slot into the screw with a dremel and make it a flat head. Or grab it with needle nose vise grips if enough is sticking out.

Use the correct size maybe you already have a 1.5 in a rifle scope box for the turret set screw that's included with your lens cleaner. Or go to NAPA just buy that correct size. Yo!

Mine had similar problem. Found screw tip actually broke in probe hole. Once you get it out, tap hole ( you may have to oversize, I did) Mr. Rowe had YOU TUBE where he drilled extra hole on opposite side.

I have removed stripped hex bolts and screws by using a Dremel and making a fresh flat blade screwdriver notch. Then I go to my local machine screw shop or maybe fx and get a new set screw. Clean the old threads out, make sure the hex key is fresh, new and of good quality and use a small dab of blue loctite.

Earlier Impacts had a small screw that frrequently froze up when removing. That happened to me. I had to take the sideplate off to get the probe carrier out. Later, they changed to a larger grub screw requiring a different probe carrier. You can see the parts changes on the FX website. Go to the Impact parts list. I would harass them to give you a new carrier and screw on warranty even though the gun is outside the warranty. This is definitely a design mistake.
