FX Impact Power Plenum .22 settings

Received PP kit yesterday and fitted it last night. Today I tested some settings and I think I need some help here.

Impact is in 22 cal with 500mm barrel and played with reg pressure in the range 85-100 bar and best i could get at 100 bar was arround 850fps (balanced), after that I ended at 90 bar and 835 bar consistent string.

I was aiming to get somewhere arround 880-900 fps with JSB 18gr but with this pressure range and 500mm barrel seems impossible.

Am I doing something wrong or I need to go up with the pressure? 

I see Roelf from Airhunters SA gets 900 fps with 600 mm barrel and 85 bar in their last video.

The fine tune with the power plenum is different.

First ,,,why dont you get your regulator higher in pressure step by step. 10 bars at times..

Second ....what is your power wheel set ,,,on Max or Min ?

Third,,,,what is your front valve setting ?...3 bars...4 bars ?

Fourth....a 600 mm barrel will give more speed than a 500 mm.

Need to shorten spring.

Spring is very long. it does not allow the valve to open properly.

I often see between 10 and 15fps per 25.5mm of added barrel length. The higher the pressure and volume, the higher the gain with longer barrel. You would likely exceed your goal with 700mm barrel.

Where can we find the different springs ?

I cut in half, my slug 36gr 600mm liner 290m/s reg 145bar

I have a .22 700mm MKII with power planum and at 83 bar I'm in at 910-920 ft/s with 18gr JSB's. Probably could get some more speed if I add more hammer spring. 

Reason I went for the 700mm barrel is the #of shots per fill. Now I get a bit over 160 shots on one fill.

Obviously i need longer barrel to keep reg under 100bar and JSB 18gr pellets to get cca 900fps well balanced.

I will try 16gr pellets when i get some time.

Just use the original hammer spring 57 mm long instead of the new 52 mm hammer spring from the power plenum kit.

That will open the valve more.

No, it doesn't help. Need to be replaced or shortened by a spring.

Well that help ddark and that is what Ernest recommend for .30 caliber.

That's what I did to my .30 cal as well and I finally got the power increase that I could expect and that I couldn't get with the 52mm spring of the kit. I'll report the results in the other thread...

Feel free to report here. 

Just finished testing at the range. Setup is 500mm 22 cal barrel, reg at 90 bar, 16gr pellets, power adjuster at MIN (22mm gap), valve adjuster between 1 and 2.

Maybe little bit more fine tuning but I am perfectly satisfied with current results.
