Bob , can you post some pics of those slugs . D-Rig is there a mold available for theses bullets or are you keeping that to yourself ?

His ammo is not cast in a mold!

They Are hand swaged in a press from pure lead wire...that's what makes them so consistent and a little pricey! But as a varmint hunter myself it's a small price to pay when you hear those things hit ....

Ok here is THE FIRST five shot group at 34 yards 40 gr VK. Brocock bantum sniper HP magnum. Do not know the velocity 

whats it prove? It proves to me it’s worth trying at 100. Fact of the matter I could have stopped at two and come to the same conclusion. If that offends you that I only shot five shots I offer my condolences. If I shoot five shots at 100 and it’s inside an inch I’m gonna shoot THREE at 200. Will it prove anything NO but it will make me suspicious.

Braxton our young buddy is coming tomorrow. He’s 27 I’m the mirror image. I think he’ll be able to test things better. Let’s hooe for calm. We plan to be shooting at 7 am.

Well we got to shoot at 100. Nothing great about inch and a half . But we chronographed them and the gun is only sending them out at 610 FPS. That’s not going to get the job done not even close. What to do? No clue

Oh yeah....chances are not gyroscopically stable at that speed. I guess the power needs to be cranked up on that gun?

What do you think is the ideal velocity for those slugs . Might not be achievable with the brocock

I've noticed since you started shooting slugs you have gradually went up in weight. Is this because you are wanting more down range energy or are you finding better accuracy with the heavier slugs?

No, it's only because the 40gr were given to me to try, and when I ran out of the lighter weights I was using, I loaded those up. 

The tune was great and accurate so I left it and ordered more.

Currently I'm tuning for 34gr and will test those for accuracy this weekend. If they're good then I'll test them at the farms.
