FX FX Impact mk4 V Beeman commander

just for fun I just bought a cheep Beeman Commander .22 cost around $240 It has a surprisingly nice stock I shot It for the first time today , using AEA 18g pellets at 900 fps out to 65 yards and got this group , then I shot my Impact same pellets same distance So I sat there for a minute and thought wow that group Is as good as my MK4 Impact that cost ( with extras ) around 3K . I don't hunt, I bench rest most of the time , so I'm thinking why am I spending all this money on high end guns when a gun at a fraction of the cost shoots just as well . yes the Beeman Is not a refined as the Impact but It's the end result that counts right ?

Dial it up and shoot slugs at 100 yards plus and see if you feel better about your impact.

My experience has been similar. Some of my budget pcp’s shoot at 50 yards as well as some of my higher end pcp’s. I currently own 147 air rifles/pistols. I mostly own pcp rifles. My Stoeger scout xm1 in .22 shoots similar groups to my Daystate Alpha Wolf and Pulsar, FX Impct Mk 2 and 3, FX Panthera Hunter compact, Skout Epoch compact, ATS uragan gen1, American Air arms Evol mini, etc. In fact, I’m really close to releasing an unbiased, no sponsored video on YouTube demonstrating what a Stoeger Skout XM 1 can accomplish at 50 yards compared to my high end airguns.

As several of the points have already been made, at longer distances, the Stoeger doesn’t compare as well. I can determine. the reliability of my sample because I’ve not owned my Stoeger long enough. High end PCPs definitely can have reliability issues though. It’s also true that the shooting experience is not nearly as satisfying my high end PCP’s. Just my two cents worth.

You generally are paying for power and a smooth shot cycle at higher power levels, which is generally more accurate at longer ranges. Parts availability also comes into play. How fast can the Beeman shoot the 25.39’s?

For 50 yards and under a lot of “cheaper” rifles will perform the same. It’s good to brings this up, especially for people new to the hobby.
