FX Impact Mk3 - fake news?

HI Guys

There were rumors circulating earlier this year that FX was going to announce the Impact MK3 in March. I've spoken to as many dealers as I can find and no one is admitting to knowing anything about this. Anyone know anything or should we consider this fake news?

If you think about how fx releases new guns there will eventually be a mk3. When? Who really knows. Its only a matter of time. It's not like they are going to just sit on the mk2 without making improvements. Im sure they have already updated parts in the mk2 without people knowing or made improvements that we are not aware of.

They have been much more secretive about the last few updated rifles. Take the Crown MKII recently, not a peep came out first. 

I don’t think they want to let everyone know it is coming and then run into months of delays, and have to deal with the backlash that comes of that.

I assume FX do not mind this speculation, How many folk are keeping their money in their pockets* waiting on the MK3s imminent release.

Fx surprise could be something as simple as new stock options for one of their rifles? New kit for the dreamline? Or maybe even a new color for the impact. I wouldn't mind having a bronze impact but a red or blue one would be even better. Fx should atleast come on the forums and be like some news is coming and it's about "________" on blank date

FX is oversold on nearly everything they make, and the DW hasn't been in the wild quite long enough for it to be significantly impacting their sales yet. Plus its pricepoint is up there - not saying that you get value for every dollar you might spend on a DW, but just not in the realm of possibility for so many.

There is really no need at the moment for FX to launch anything new. Their marketing team (and we all know that it is an effective one) will make the decision, and they won't say anything to initially show their cards until that team is good and ready.

Hopefully its fake news and they rather spend some time engineering new platform that meets quality and expectations of that super high price point. Impact surely isnt worth of that money.

Fx has a tendency of transferring things that worked. Like the larger plenum from the original mk2 impact. They did the same thing with the mk2 crown and the maverick. What if fx sells a kit to make your wildcat into a maverick? I'm sure when fx decides to release the news on whatever is next for them it will fly of the shelfs.

No chance. They would probably fill the orders with the new version, like they did with the Crown. Would you really want them to announce a MKIII and send you a MKII for the same price?

MK3 will be here and it will sell. However, even as a big FX fanboy if they make the MK3 over $3000 like the DW then I’ll pass, if it’s fully electronic and I can’t work on it then I’ll pass, if it deviate too far from proven good working technologies(mk1) then I’ll wait.

I am sure that in some months I will buy a Maverick.

To me the Maverick is the evolution of the Impact with the rescue of good aspects and disposal of bad experiences. There, for sure, will be small machine parts that would need a polish. 

Maverick, seems to me that should be consider the Impact III reingeniered.

once you tried an impact and understand the engineering behind the impact your opinion will change. I owned both the impact and Maverick and now I’m just waiting for the impact mk3 with my impact mk2.

I’d like to see an MKIII , But this time around I would suggest getting rid of 20 or 30 orings . I would also like to see the addition of a balanced valve. Their current valve being ok but when you lean on the hammer too hard it makes the shot cycle suffer as well as the accuracy. THE CURRENT VALVE IS NOT A BALANCED VALVE . .
