I did some rework yesterday on hammer and mechanism and noticing some wear marks on the rod end where the hammer C3 puck hits (and most likely bounces/rattles). This is currently with some 5K shots. Not really concerned for the wear nothing seals there, but again just saying.

For the next thing I have a question:

I am noticing a wear on the hammer total length, that means the Valve timing is changing over time.

I measured the weight on the current installed vs a new hammer, the same weight but shorter for about 1mm.

That means the C3 (black delrin piece) got compressed from the hard hits.

I had no need earlier to think about, but I cannot recall seeing the stand alone C3 anywhere. I would really stay away from buying a complete hammer if the black plastic wears out, if I would need to order a new piece I would do on lathe from peek same as I did earlier for Valve head when I did a power rebuilt.

now that is interesting note of hammer size changing. I have noticed lately that my mk2 is not shooting the same speeds as what I have set and recorded previously as well. this discover now has me wanting to pull my hammer and see it the Delrin on the end is in the same situation your showing. I would agree that the shrinkage in hammer length would throw the valve mechanics off as well. I have some small peek rod and a lathe...hmmm
