FX Impact mk2 25 cal mag problem with slugs

Are you shooting the dimpled nose hollow points or the slugs with the large hollow point? I don't shoot any of the dimpled slugs because they don't shoot as well as the large hollow points. I'm wondering if the small hollow point gives the front of the slug more room to move around where the larger hollow points have a larger base to rest against the magazine?

I have 3 .25 mags that will not load without moving them around because of what appears to be flaw? in the machining. The misalignment is shown in the first 2 photos and the apparent cause is shown in photo 3 which is allowing the "pellet / slug carrier" to over travel imho. The original sideshot magazine has a longer "tab" than the one in photo 3:

I have had a similar problem with the FX MK II Magazine .25 which I used for 34 gr MK II's. I had just bought it and loaded with JSB MK II's 33.95gr. The pellet just jammed and would not cycle. With closer examination, I noticed the holes were not aligned properly and also large enough where the pellet exits. I called the vendor and got a refund immediately. I never had any problems with the Original Side-Shot Magazine.

Might not mean a thing to the discussion on the FX mags but I can tell you I have the same problem with my .25 Vulcan mags. My barrel doesn't shoot slugs well so it's not really a problem for me but the length of the taper seems to be my culprit. The lighter VK slugs are unusable so really can't even test them. The lighter NSA are loadable but I'm sure I'm shaving them upon loading. The heavier NSA's seem to load much better but my gun doesn't like them.

If you guys think that’s bad , the new .177 mags are even worse . FX needs to step up to the plate on these mags . I did let my retailer know of the problem with the magazine , he did offer to replace it . He did check the other mags in stock which were identical to what I have . I ended up using tw9 full wraps of electrical tape on the inside of the drum part of the magazine . Work much better now .
