FX Impact mk11 speed tune help

Ok I have a impact mk11 22 cal 700mm ,

slug liner. I would like to get the nsa 27gr slugs to 930fps but I can’t. I have everything maxed out , reg 165. Didn’t see much improvement over 150. Telling me the hammer spring is maxed. I did port the barrel

i can get the 23s to 940ish but not the 27s, there at 890ish.

Any help would be appreciated

If your port and probe look like this it should do it with no problem. You should get 970 or better at 150 bar. Are your slugs .217 diameter or .218 ?

Some suggest porting the transfer port and prob. I wouldnt do it as it voids any warranty. Also making the transfer port bigger will allow the pellets head to tilt into the hole and when you closed the level it will get jam. Haven't try slugs so idk but not good for pellets if port transfer port bigger. Porting will get maybe 30 fps more. Not much of a difference imo.

As for op, maxing the hammer will not yield anymore fps even if u increase the reg pressure over 150 cause the hammer is too light to open the valve at those higher pressure. You will need a power kit earnest sells for about $50 plus shipping. It includes large valve seat and heavier hammer to open the valve at higher pressure. If you gun is shooting accurate, why mess with it to get more energy. People always want more power even those 60ft lbs is enough to take down even a deer. What are you hunting? A bear? Lmao.

That is completely wrong. If you follow directions and don't make the port wider then pellets can not tip in.

FX will sell you both parts new for about $50 and it can not void the warranty under FTC rules governing that in the USA.

When done correctly porting the inlet and probe gives the same velocity at 30 bar less pressure or much higher velocity at max pressure.

Hello, sorry but you just would not get 930 fps out of a 27gn slug out of a gen 1 Mk2 impact ... jaja so confusing since already there is a gen2 impact around on the market (imposible to know without taking the impact apart, since the new one has an integrated valve seat 6.3mm bore vs 5.5 on the "old" mk2)

As @heavy-impact mention porting will help, and probably get you where you want, since you will have an increase of about 50fps. Simple way is to ELONGATE the brass port from 5.5 to 6.5 mm towards the muzzle, and to remove the pellet probe o, as shown in the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUf0bbjaQ4k

Or you can do it as Heavy mention, but is a bit more complicated and time consuming for someone making it for the first time and there is no much proben gain there. (and if there is will be no more than 1-5 fps) BUT WORKS!

Regarding the concerns / opinions of @PigeonMan

I wouldnt do it as it voids any warranty

That is like saying do not change the tires of your car, since you will void warranty. The parts we mention are not part of the internals of the impact. and as heavy mention those are easy to get and replace. (suggestion, first buy/get the parts, then make the mods)

Also making the transfer port bigger will allow the pellets head to tilt into the hole and when you closed the level it will get jam. Haven't try slugs so idk but not good for pellets

True, that is why no one is saying bigger!, you need to ELONGATE (from 5.5 to 6.5mm) the brass port not make it bigger. What heavy shows is an external CHAMP (for vortex/venturi effect, that might look as simple sight bigger!) and and elongated internal (basically you first elongate and then you champ it). If anything get stuck in a brass port, is simple because was made wrong. (ported more than a dozen already, cero issues)

Porting will get maybe 30 fps more. Not much of a difference imo.

Not maybe ... 40 to 50+ fps, proven with the 0.22 redesigned. (0.22 will have the biggest increase on fps), less than that is either a tuning problem or again, elongated tp was not made right.

You will need a power kit earnest sells for about $50 plus shipping.

True that you need the basic power kit, but Ernest and FX USA are not selling those anymore. Fact. Ask them.

just chime in so people do not get the wrong ideas about all this, take care!

I just did the mod that heavy impact showed me. I was shooting the 23 nsa at 930 and a reg pressure of 150 with a 600mm barrel. After following his directions and porting I put the gun back together and shot 980. I was able to turn it down to about 130-135 bar reg to get 930. Still need to back the hammer down and tune but it definitely works. At 135 reg I shot some of my homemade slugs of 27 grain and was getting 885

Heisiam, are you sure your fully maxed out on the hammer spring adjustment? Most Impacts although they are indicating MAX on the dial are not internally in the max position. I don't have a link handy to share at this time but a little searching on here will show the simple process to maximize the HS so that when your dial is on MAX the hammer spring tension is also in sinc to maximum energy.
