Fx impact mk1

Hi quick question my impact is not cocking I already check the trigger adjustments and they are fine what I noticed was that the ping on the cocking block is bend and don’t bring the hammer all the way back to engage with the trigger also I saw some damage on the hammer I have the slug power kit installed and the power plenum.. before it was very consistent now I have some humps on the speed I know that is not my reg because it’s brand new and it’s not creeping. Any advice what should I remplace? Do you think the extra weight on the hammer is causing the damage, I’m shooting 25 gr at 970 FPS with the 700mm barrel and the Ernest Rowe transfer port.

That kind of damage usually occurs when the cocking lever is in the rear/open position when the gun is fired. It really messes things up when it slams home. Looks like you need a new pin and hammer. Possibly the linkage is damaged as well?

You are right I was trying to improve my trigger also this rifle is 5 years old a lot o pellets and now slugs .. do you think that I can use the old hammer or I can use the same one just give it a nice polish

Eddy 1840 for sure you can polish your hammer like a new. After I broke 3 times the small pin wich is connected with the linkage plate I have been bored to wait a new one to reach. So in the last block I bought a covalt drill bit 4 mm I cutt it and with a hydraulic press I press it inside. I just opened a little and the hole in the plate to 4 mm( any way was a little damaged like oval shape). Since then is solid like a rock after around 12000 rounds.

In your case I think you need to replace the block since your central pin needs to be covered by derlin material to protect the hammer. If it was me and I could not wait long time for a new one I would insert a covalt pin by the same way and watch it if is making zny damage the hammer.

I turned mine down a few thousandths on my mini lathe and it is fine. So, you should be able to secure a drill lightly in a vice or similar device or spin it up in a drill press and hold a decent file or a block with some sandpaper to it to take it down the little that is needed.
