FX FX Impact M4 - 300 Bar - Needs First Regulator ?

Along with the air passage connecting the output pressure of the first regulator to the second regulator, the following penetrations in the trigger block are at high pressure:

1. Fill probe
2. Bottle pressure gauge
3. First pressure regulator
4. First pressure regulator output gauge
5. 2nd regulator

All would be potential points of failure.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, this is all very true, however what you're forgetting is the exact same thing happens on a 250bar fill, it gets hot, expands & fills to 250bar and the compressor shuts off, then after an hour when its returned to room temperature you'll find its probably down to 240bar possibly even lower. So its not a case of one suffers from that problem & the other doesn't both fill capacities suffer from the same losses, what we're talking about is the usable pressure thats left after the rifle has been left to rest, which is roughly 20% extra on a 300 fill.

I'll try it on a 250 bar 700cc cylinder and see how many I get but a 38-40grain slug travelling 1040 fps I don't think it will be much more than a mag if even that ?

Thanks for the response (y)
what reg pressure is sweet spot for 1040 fps for 38-40gr on a 700mm

Hi, I would get the 800mm barrel as this will help increase the velocity for the heavier slugs, the 700mm its that little bit shorter so the slug doesn’t have as much time to get up to its maximum velocity before coming out the end of the barrel, I've found with an 800mm barrel 160-165 reg pressure is best for the 38-40 grainers, power wheel 9 and 4 lines on valve knob.

However personally that’s a lot of money for not a lot of gain, I’ve found the 33grain ZAN slugs to be absolutely brilliant they in my opinion are better than the 38-40s and still have incredible knock down power. With these you also use less air and they work beautifully on the 700mm barrel, reg pressure 150 bar power wheel 9 and valve knob 4

I guess those Zan's at 150bar are going 960-980fps? .33gr .217 or .218?

Las week I orders some .217 33gr zan, seen some threads that day Zan's should go minimum 970fps, top 1040fps....will have to try out to see

Yeah mines running at around 980fps on the above settings with nice tight groups
