FX Impact M3 Valve Rod Changes

Good day Everyone,

I noticed a slight change in the new valve road end where the C1 screws on compared to the previous version.

The new valve rod has more thread but a shorter tip compared to the one that came out of my M3.

In the picture you can see the valve rod that came out of my M3 compared to the two new valve rods I bought. All three are exactly the same in total length.

Does this mean one need to change the C1 measurement from 6.00/6.40 to 5.5/5.75?

Or is it a same fit with no change in C1 measurement.

I would appreciate your help, thanks.

This is what I would do and I think it’s a pretty good bet. The overall length of the valve rod is what is important, not the threads. If the new rods you ordered are the same overall length, but only differ in some thread surface area, nothing changes. The C1 (called this on old MK2) threads are pretty deep on rod anyway so you won’t have an issue with thread length. Take your tune measurements from before you torn your M3 down and replace with new rod within FX spec but at your tune length and enjoy! There will be no issue. The rod will seal.
