Simple question from a very fresh M3 owner: is there a big difference in efficiency/air consumption moving to a slug power kit?

Just my opinion, if you are concerned with shot count I would stay away from hot ridding your M3.
Slug power kit is all about feeding more air to the barrel. The heavier the projectile and the faster you push it the more air you are going to use.
I shoot mine with NSA 24.8’s at 970 FPS with no alterations to the gun other than a heavy liner. Couple clicks on the power wheel and I can shoot Zan 23’s at about the same speed.

Shot count is the last thing you worry about in slug land. If you want amazing efficiency and shot count, leave the gun alone and stick to pellets. With slugs, you go where they take you.

I know. With all these new guns and most being so focused on chasing big power and heavy this and heavy that, it’s truly amazing the shot count these guns are capable of when you come back to reality and shoot it like a pellet gun. I just put my DL Compact back to the short barrel and made it a Crosman 14.3 830fps gun. Kept looking at my gauge thinking is this thing sticking.
