FX FX Impact M3 – Persistent Air Leak on First Regulator (Need Help)

Hi everyone, I own an FX Impact M3 Sniper and mainly shoot pellets (JSB 18.13 gr). Lately, I’ve been dealing with a persistent air leak coming from the vent/atmospheric hole of the first regulator.

I’ve already replaced the O-rings on the first reg three different times — including the tricky one that’s a pain to swap out — but the leak still won’t go away.

I’ve even considered bypassing or removing the first regulator altogether, but since I usually shoot pellets with the factory M3 setup (150 bar on the first reg and 70 bar on the second), I’m concerned that removing it might cause issues.

Any idea what I might be missing here? What’s the best way to sort this out?

Why is the distance between reg 1 and reg 2 so far apart? You should have them 40b apart max, and averaging between 20 and 30b otherwise you may as well bypass the regulator. The "main reason" for the 1st reg is too take off the pressure from the rear reg, but you really dont need it.

If you are wanting to keep your M3 in stock configuration I suggest calling the folks at Utah Airguns and ask for some directions from them concerning your issue. Not long ago I had a similar issue with my Wildcat MK3 and found the part 9121 Reg Replacement was what I needed. Chasing down air leaks is not much fun but once you find the fix it is something you won't forget any time soon. Good luck.

His gun and second reg still thinks the gun is only being filled to 150b so even with a larger difference than people who only kinda know what they are talking about recommend, he‘s still ahead of the game.

The kinda know comment was not directed at you. It was directed broadly.

Do you fill your gun like you’re filling a car tire? The port that goes from the foster side of the gun to the bottle passes real close to this tricky oring. It’s just my opinion but I believe we cook the oring from repetitive fast filling over time. Since the beginning, guys have been getting spun by two regs. Especially the first one. I’ve also experienced the super slow leak from that little hole. Are you replacing that PITA oring with a 70 or 90 duro?
