FX Impact M3 leak/regulator issue

Hi all,

Last month I got delivery of a FX Impact M3 .35. Pumping the gun up after my first shooting session to zero the scope I noticed the first regulator presure was at 140- bar and decided to increase it a bit to 180 which was suggested at several places on the internet as optimal for the gun. I followed the procedure in the manual but after the adjustment the first regulator pressure started droping over a few minutes and increasing back again. Second regulator is steady at about 135-140 bar. At first I tought it's a gauge issue and left it alone but the next morning the bottle gauge showed a leak of about 40-50 bar. I tried adjusting the regulator up and down to different values and every time I got to the same situation - after attaching the bottle and the first regulator went to whatever value it was adjusted it slowly creeped down and after going about 20 (-ish) bar below the adjustment it would replenish from the bottle and the cycle would go on and on. Before the adjustment the gun was not leaking and held steady pressure over a few weeks.

Considering the second regulator is steady is it safe to conclude that the leak is somewhere after the first regulator and before the second (which will leave just a few possible trouble spots)? Also I guess if there was some issue with the bottle before the first regulator the leak would only show on the bottle gauge and the regulator gauge wouldn't behave like described?

It's a frustrating start with a new gun especially considering the pricetag - I didn't anticipate such issues from day one. I would appreciate some input.
