Tuning FX Impact M3 Dwell time and accuracy or do I just Stink ?

Yes

And don't misunderstand me , the M3 is an amazing platform and still one of the best airguns out there . But after getting to shoot a Red Wolf I was sold . For me the M3 is probably just as accurate but the Red Wolf just felt easier to shoot, more forgiving I guess you could say?

That coupled with a couple of less than stellar run-ins with FX and FX dealer support I decided to change directions .

Oh yeah and I'm just lazy lol

I hear ya. I'm disappointed. I thought we were going to figure our guns out together...lol

M3 compact may be a lil trickier to shoot due to its size/form factor. I have a 700mm .22 barrel ill eventually try to see if its any different as far a hold and follow through.

I got my m3 because i can make it whatever i want and i love to shoot so all the tinkering and experimenting plays into to that. I don't consider it wasting lead. I am getting to know my gun.

I have already put more lead through the m3 then both my pistols and my AR. Most of which was done right off my back patio! Not the range or a buddies farm.

That said i might eventually get something a lil less intricate for camping hiking mnt bike trips.

Red wolfs are nice though. Good luck!

Hahahahah , sorry !

Yeah I love tinkering too , well at least I thought I did . But with three kids and limited time it sure is nice to be able to pickup a gun and just go shoot . I don't think this is my last encounter with an impact, just trying something new .

Good luck with yours , I have no doubt you will have it licked in no time !

Also , I can not understate how much everyone's input means to me here .

Yep, the videos that get guys all pumped up on the new toy that’s going be a substitute for your powder burner don’t tell the whole story. The gun and projectile you chose is going to decide what your hobby within this hobby is going to be. Buy a Taipan, Cricket, Edgun, Daystate, your hobby will be shooting. Buy an Impact, your hobby will be tuning and buying gadgets. Enjoy that Red Wolf. In your situation, wise decision. I chuckled last night when I saw your gun in the classifieds before this topic was even cold. Don’t blame you one bit. It should meet your grab from the safe like a real gun and go shoot expectations way better than an Impact.

When i got my impact the first time i was trying to tune it for slugs nsa 24gr i wasted 2 box of ammo trying to shrink my group size my best group was 3 inch at 50yard spread was good 8 fps 10 shots average my reg pressure was 100 from the factory which is good for pellets 18gr i went up on the reg 130 my group was one hole at 40 yard first i though im missing the paper took it to 100 yard my groups was 1 to 1½ inch I noticed with low pressure you get good consistency and not so great grouping with high pressure my spread is higher but my accuracy is laser beam and the gun is much quieter
