So when I have my action open I hear a small leak at the pellet probe, why would this happen?

Transfer port leak. Fill it up and dry fire it back down to 150bar......fill it up again and dry fire it back down to 150 bar. Alot of times this fixes. Ive seen it work 3 times with pcp airguns and all 3 times the guns were fairly new. Probably some microscopic particle left over from manufacture/assembly on the valve seal. Give it a try and let us know.

No it is not bad to dry fire the Impact.
You can also use pellets for this if you wish, but the pellet risk to stay inside the barrel.

The front Oring on your valve is leaking. Mine did the same thing. Had to replace the oring cause no matter what I did it would not stop. I will say this the Impacts are awesome but require a lot of maintenance. Hope it clears up for you. Be careful consistently shooting just air through your barrel could blow your breech oring out.
