FX Impact Issue

Last week My Impact dumped its air through as the valve wasn't closing properly

so I stripped it down cleaned and lubed it all up and put it back together yesterday and boom its fixed - holds air and fires fire ( to it from 240 to 200 with the usual 4 shots)

only issue is that the cocking lever bolt is really stiff to close i.e. the cocking block is starting to jam up on its last 1cm of travel ( when closing)

If I back off the front 2 rail bolt the lever closes normally

When I stripped it most of the top rail screws had come loose!

Is there somethingI am missing here?

I am planning on shimming the front block today to create a tiny bit more room for the cocking

When I put my gun back together once and had the same cocking arm problem as you I just pushed the front block forward a bit before I tightened the screws all the way down and the problem went away. I did not need any shims of any type.

A good cleaning with new lube will fix most leaks. New o-rings are usually only needed if they get damaged during teardown or assembly.

Good you were able to do the repairs many don't feel confident in their abilities to do so.

Edit;

Mine was only difficult to close for the last few millimeters.

If the problem was not there before you tore it apart you do not need shims?
