GQ,
Yes, you were spot on. I notice an unusual cracking sound when fired. It was the metal to metal contact.
The white one exceeds the measurement you were suggesting. Do i need to cut it? I already installed that white derlin one that came from Yong Heng compressor kit. It does not fit the valve pin stopper tube. But it wont reach the inner tube if the valve adjuster is at the fourth line. So, i guess it’s okay. The thicker size, according to some forumer, might increase the fps. Heavy impact said the 1-3mm thickness won’t have a noticeable increase in fps.
Get an oring C3 on the Impact part list from your seller.
Do not worry about the outside dimensions. It is the inside that matters. It is a 3mm valve stem rod. Of not using the o-ring, the washer does need to be made out of any black delrin plastic or the like. I have made them out if white nylon washers too, but they don't hold up. Heavy-impact is right, the exact thickness is not important. I tested them in thicknesses from 4mm down to .75mm. If you find any delrin plastic between 1.5 and 2.5 mm thickness and you will be fine. I drilled mine by hand to test and cut the thickness spinning a plastic rod in a drill using a hack saw (carefully, but it isn't rocket science.) The most important point is to make sure it fits the rod good with a perfect 3mm hole. Tight is fine, loose is not so good.
