Hi Folks,
I just recently became a new FX Impact .25 owner (purchased from Airguns of Arizona).
However, I've noticed a couple distributing behaviors.
For all my tests I used sorted JSB King and JSB King heavy pellets with almost the same weight +/- 0.05 grain. Pellets loaded manually, no magazine used.
Slow speed
If leave this rifle for couple hours fully charged, not cocked, it shoots around 1-2 MOA lower. Test distance is around 17 yards. I immediately suspected it may have something to do with the pellet speed, so I used chrony to check it. After some idle period first shot is around 60-70 FPS slower. Instead of ~800fps with JSB King on min settings, I may get 730-750fps with first shot. With the second shot it goes to 770-780 and then it stabilizes around ~800 +/- 4 fps.
Clipping pellets
If I add even a single extra ring baffle to the silencer, pellets start clipping throwing accuracy out of the window, especially JSB King Heavy. Power setting doesn't help with that.
Is it an expected behavior? Sometimes, I need to make a quick single shot (at wasp), I simply don't know where pellet will go to, I almost always miss the target with the first one-two shots due to very small target. It believe it should not be the case with almost $2K airgun.
Thanks.
