I'm interested in the Compact but want to know if the older standard FX mags or the CARM mags will fit the compact. I shoot left handed and worry that the bigger mags would interfere with my cheek. Anybody have experience?
I shoot a Compact left handed with the 28 round magazine, it doesn't cause me any problems. I think with the scope higher it helps get my cheek up a bit.
As a fellow "left hander" you know we have to put up with some "stuff".
I shoot left and the big mags aren't an issue, all impact mags will fit the compact. Compact just has a different bottle and barrel rest of the gun is identical.
I to am a lefty and like Gibbs & Glem said, the big magazine is not an issue. I also have a couple of the CARM magazines and magazine holders for my Compact. I really like them. Although the big magazine poses no problem, I use the CARM magazines almost exclusively. They just seem to load easier and quicker for me.
A lefty over here too. Not an issue, unless you lean forward enough into the mag. It causes it to not cycle with pressure applied to the plastic, enough to misshape the mag a slight amount is all it takes (yes, I have increased the spring tension and cleaned the mag). Not a deal breaker at all, but something i have experienced more than once. Moving the scope back more would probably remedy this all together.
