Fx Impact barrel index pin

My terminology may be way off so i didn't get the search results i was looking for on the site.

I have recently ran into a problem with my impact X. I was changing barrels when i had difficulty getting it to drop into place. I know not to force it , and i never have. Upon further inspection i noticed that the pin that indexes the brass groove on the barrel was barely there.

Anybody have this problem?, fixes? Links?

Chuck's post about the same issue thank you Bob_O. I did not try a magnet but i did smash the block on a table a few times hoping some inertia would pop it out. ....no luck... if that didn't do it i don't think the magnet will work, but ill try next time i have it apart.

Yes i have the same problem it annoys me.

I made a new label on the barrel,now the barrel always stands up to its place.

Any idea if this pin is hard steel? Was thinking of a reverse drill.

I am working with FX USA service on this issue. Much easier ordering a bolt on part than mucking up the part and eventually ordering it later, safer too considering the air pressure. Covid19 is pushing the turn around on some parts out a month or so, understandable yet unfortunate. Time to dust off my Armada.

Got the block sooner than i expected, i was told it would be over a month wait.

Tip for anyone else with this issue, when you order your new block be sure to get 6 rubber balls (magazine bumpers) and the reg gauge quad ring. The block i received is bare, black, and usual logos, no other hardware.
