FX FX Impact Barrel Hold Open Not Working

I took my son to shoot my FX Impact MK2 and he double loaded pellets which got stuck in the barrel. I have not been able to remove the lodged pellets and have a liner on order. FUN.

The bigger issue I’m seeing though is my rifle no longer is doing bolt hold open. What is the mechanism that does bolt hold open when their is no magazine and no pellets in the magazine? This seems to be not functioning as well.

I think he's talking about it's not engaging the sear when he cocks the rifle.

Just make sure to air down impact before installing.

There is also the rubber balls. No, wait those balls help hold it close.

I’m confused. Two pellets in the barrel? Why didn't you just shoot them out. Done it more than once.

Take another look at my post. There were 3 pellets in the barrel. I pulled the barrel out and 2 pellets just fell out. I put the barrel back in and I shot the third one out.

Yeh, I should have quoted the OP, because that’s who I was referring to. Sorry for the confusion.
