FX Impact .30Cal Issues..

HI,



i have a FX Impact .30cal and im getting Poi shifts, startng to get very annoying.. it seems to shift 1" Low and Right after i leave the gun for a day or so..

When shooting i simply adjust the Zero and it remains the same... and im good..

Swapped scopes and even switched out the barrel to a new one..

reg is at 155 and 3rd line on adjuster.. getting very good groups, stacks pellets at 50yrds and cant complain at all...

anybody seen this before.. ? as a almost 2K rifle i would of thought been a little better than this !!

For the first couple shots after it sits that day, or does that shift remain the same beyond that?

its will sit the same, all day until i adust the zero..

there is no reg creep as checked that, they even swapped to a new barrel, to rule that out and its exactly the same.. made no diffrence.

Chrony results day to day? All the scope mounts snug, including the rail to the action, barrel and or shroud and mod tight? If there is no reg creep and everything is tight, and the FPS remains despite the shift.... your going to run out of scope adjustment. Your initial description really sounds like reg creep. That's really all I have to offer other than if FPS is dropping it could be a couple things. Keep at it. You'll find it.

Thanks, its weird and the chrono remains constant... im going to turn the power down from 98Ft and see if that improves things...

Try and change out that scope and spin your rings around. 

AND-OR dry fire the first 5-10 shots see if that helps.

Your not leaning the gun against a wall or rack on the barrel are you? Pushing on the barrel could cause poi shifts.

Also try it without your moderator. My 30 cal Impact hated one of my Donny moderators. No clipping or anything. Switched it out and it grouped awesome.

yo can fix it by balancing reg pressure vs HST....... try to increase HST until speed dont increase any more, then go back 1 or 2 positions on the 

hst dial.

When I first got my 30 cal, it shot all over the place. It came with one of those cheapo FX cans which I replaced with a Donny Sumo. Shoots perfectly now.
