FX impact 30cal barrel damage, brand new out of the box.

how critical is the brass crown that slides into the back of the gun~original? my pellet probe is also smashed kinda sideways as to it won't slide into the barrel.

A 2k$ pellet gun should not have any issues when you get it.

i find it very unlikely that these parts were damaged in shipping. the box has no defects on it, the manner in which my products were wrapped up and packing peanuts in the box was excellent. AOA could have sent me a dozen eggs packed in this manner and i doubt any would have been broke

no lou, this was my extra barrel i just orderd last week. my impact came with the .25 barrel and was flawless

Obviously used and abused by someone. You throw out 440$ and you get that. I wonder what they will have to say about that! Good thing you can return it.

Ouch, that has to go back to AofA for a replacement. I don't know about the probe and crown but that scratching on the barrel can't be from shipping - that had to have been there prior to them packing it and shipping it out. They sent you a beater and it needs to be replaced.

Wow. Quality control is non existent. For that money, the gun/barrel should be flawless. While poop does happen, how that got out of the factory, and then again out of AoA is beyond me. No one is checking...

The brass adapter is pretty soft metal. I wonder why they don't make it out of aluminum? All my probes are perfect circles. Give your retailer a call and offer to send them pictures of the damage.

i did email them pic's and a phone call. i'm just going to send it back tomorrow via overnight shipping. i had planned on a coyote hunting trip next week, i wanted to be the first to get a yote on cam with the impact.

The .25 should have no problem taking a coyote. I've taken some very large wild boars with a less powerful .25
